Early Aid Estimator

The U.S. Department of Education is making significant changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-25 academic year to streamline and simplify the financial aid process. These changes include replacing the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) with a Student Aid Index (SAI). The Averett University Early Aid Estimator was developed to provide future college students an opportunity to see a ballpark estimate of the level of financial aid they may qualify for, in the months before the FAFSA is released. While this calculator provides an early estimate of your SAI, the formula from the Department of Education may change. Check back in the coming months, and remember to enter our school code (003702) when you file your FAFSA this winter.

The average time to complete a full estimate is between 3-5 minutes. Financial questions reference your family's 2022 tax returns. If your family was not required to file taxes in 2022, you will have the opportunity to indicate this in the survey as well.
